The "Wright" Process

From the initial design phase to the final finishing touches, we work closely with you to ensure every detail is perfect.

Step 1 - Initial meeting

This initial meeting is where we get to know each other better. We'll discuss your vision for your dream home, your must-haves, and any specific requirements you have. It's also an opportunity for you to ask us any questions you may have about our process, our team, or our company values. We believe that a strong relationship between builder and homeowner is key to a successful project.

Step 2 - Establish your budget

Your budget is the foundation of your custom home project. During this phase, we'll work closely with you to establish a realistic budget that aligns with your financial goals and expectations. We'll discuss factors such as the size of the home, the level of customization you desire, and any additional features or upgrades you may want to include. Our goal is to ensure that your dream home stays within your budget while still meeting your needs and exceeding your expectations.

Step 3 - Select your lot

The size and location of your lot play a crucial role in the design and construction of your custom home. We'll work with you to evaluate potential lots and determine which ones are the best fit for your needs. Factors such as lot size, topography, orientation, and zoning regulations will all be taken into consideration during this phase. Our goal is to help you find the perfect lot that will serve as the canvas for your dream home. Or, come to us with your chosen lot and we’ll work out the details to make your dream home come to life within that space.

Step 4 - Plan design

Once we've established your budget and selected a lot, it's time to start designing your custom home. You have several options when it comes to plan design. You can choose to work with our in-house architect to create a custom floor plan that's tailored to your specific needs and preferences. Alternatively, you can choose from a selection of pre-designed floor plans that we have available on our website. If you already have a plan in mind or are working with an architect of your own, we'll be happy to accommodate that as well. Our goal is to ensure that your custom home reflects your unique style and personality.

Step 5 - Select finishes

The finishes you choose for your custom home will have a significant impact on its overall look and feel. From flooring and countertops to cabinets and lighting fixtures, every detail matters. During this phase, we'll work with you to select finishes that complement your design aesthetic and enhance the functionality of your home. Our design team will provide guidance and assistance every step of the way to ensure that your custom home reflects your personal style and preferences.

Step 6 - Pre-construction

The pre-construction phase is where the magic really starts to happen. You'll sit down with our interior designer and meet your community superintendent to go over your selected options and finalize the construction process. This is your opportunity to ask any remaining questions you may have and make any last-minute adjustments to your design choices. Our goal is to ensure that you feel confident and excited about the upcoming construction of your custom home.

Step 7 - Construction

With the design phase complete, it's time to bring your custom home to life. Now you will see dirt move and lumber go up! During this phase, your home will go from a design on paper to a tangible structure. Our experienced team of builders and subcontractors will work diligently to ensure that your custom home is built to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. You'll receive weekly updates from your Wright Home sales consultant on the current status of construction, keeping you informed and involved every step of the way.

Step 8 - Final walkthrough

Before closing on your new home, you'll have the opportunity to do a final walkthrough with your community superintendent. They'll walk you through the home, pointing out key features and explaining how everything works. This is your chance to ask any final questions you may have and ensure that everything is to your satisfaction before you move in. Our goal is to ensure that you feel confident and comfortable in your new custom home.
